When you come through the front door you step right into the living room. My Uncle designed his house and he has a nice roomy mud room you walk into off the front door, and then a separate door to enter the house. It's AWESOME! We have a space in our Family Room that includes a storage bench and hooks and a shelf (for decorating). It really helps to keep things contained...although I love 'looking' at it more in the summer, when it is not inundated with the winter items ;) Have fun decorating!
